In June, I was invited to write an article on digital citizenship and youth work to inform the Consultative Meeting on Education about Digital Citizenship in Budapest. The analyis will be published as a report later this summer. In the meantime, you can see some of the early insights in the slides from my presentation from the event.
The event brought together 20 experts and practitioners in digital citizenship matters, including youth work and human rights education practitioners, the ongoing consultative meeting aims to achieve several objectives. The participants worked towards establishing a common understanding of key concepts and definitions underpinning digital citizenship and digital citizenship education.
The consultative meeting will result in proposals on how to consistently integrate and address digital citizenship within the Youth for Democracy programme for the period of 2024-2027.
